David Charles

David joined the farm team at Scarsdale Vets in early 2020, he studied biology at the University of Birmingham and then went on to achieve his veterinary degree from The University of Bristol, graduating in 2019.

Following several discussions with clients which identified a need for a local service that could come to farm or allow sheep to be brought into a local centre, he founded Midlands Advanced Breeding Services in 2021.

David is currently studying towards his CertAVP(Sheep) with The University of Liverpool which will assist the development of MABS and further enhance the service offered to sheep farmers in the Midlands.

Outside of work David can be found exploring the peak district with his Labrador, Flynn. He regularly writes for the VetTimes and enjoys playing and watching sport, either live or in the pub!
